About the role
The Sales Lead (SL) position at Paper Source is a part-time role located in Nashville, Tennessee. The role involves creating memorable shopping experiences, executing visual merchandising and replenishment standards, and actively selling and engaging with customers. You will also mentor and support employees, drive results during assigned Manager on Duty (MOD) segments, and ensure the efficient execution of store operations.
Responsibilities
- Create memorable shopping experiences where customers look forward to returning due to the consistent, friendly, and informed service provided.
- Ensure a vibrant store through the flawless execution of Visual Merchandising & Replenishment standards, maintaining a neat, tidy, shoppable, and inviting presentation.
- Leverage key campaigns and services to actively sell and engage with every customer.
- Help develop employees by sharing your knowledge and supporting their understanding of different areas in the store.
- Ensure the efficient execution of store operations by directing work with timely management of receiving, returns, and other day-to-day processes, understanding issues of shrink and expenses when running the store.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operations, communicating and sharing with your team and pod to enhance the store experience for both customers and fellow employees.
- Communicate effectively and collaboratively with the store team.
- Give feedback honestly and respectfully to store team when appropriate.
- Drive results during assigned Manager on Duty (MOD) segments — delivering sales and behaviors that meet the store’s performance targets.
- Lead merchandising and replenishment efforts during assigned MOD periods.
- Open and close the building, ensuring the safety of our employees and customers.
- Ensure compliance to company standards as it pertains to safety, customer experience, and all store operations, including asset protection (controlling shrink, expense, and payroll).
- Work on the selling floor, which requires physical activity (i.e., prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, climbing).

Pay
The pay for this role varies based on the number of hours worked per week. Less than 20 hours per week includes Employee Discount, EAP, and Sick Pay. Between 20 and 29.99 hours per week includes additional benefits. 30 hours or more includes all benefits mentioned above.

The schedule for this role is flexible and can range from less than 20 hours per week to 30 hours or more, depending on the candidate's availability and preference.
