About the role

The Sales Lead (SL) position at Paper Source is a part-time role located in Durham, North Carolina 27713. This role models great selling behaviors, leads the team, and supports the achievement of sales goals while mentoring and supporting customer service associates.

Responsibilities

  • Create memorable shopping experiences where customers look forward to returning based on consistent, friendly, and informed service.
  • Execute Visual Merchandising & Replenishment standards to maintain a vibrant store.
  • Leverage key campaigns and services to actively sell and engage with customers.
  • Develop employees by sharing knowledge and supporting their understanding of store areas.
  • Direct work with timely management of receiving, returns, and other daily processes, ensuring efficiency and minimizing shrink and expenses.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement in operations.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with the store team, giving honest and respectful feedback when necessary.
  • Drive results during assigned Manager on Duty (MOD) segments, meeting the store's performance targets.
  • Lead merchandising and replenishment efforts during assigned MOD periods.
  • Ensure the safety of employees and customers by opening and closing the building.
  • Comply with company standards regarding safety, customer experience, and all store operations, including asset protection.
  • Perform physical activities required for the selling floor, such as prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing.

Requirements

Must have a solid operational knowledge to run the store, proven experience training employees, solid decision-making skills, and proven ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively.
