Sales Development Representative (SDR)
The SDR role at Tawkify is an entry-level member of the Sales Team focusing on outbound prospecting and pipeline management. Sales are made through primarily outbound prospecting efforts to leads, existing clients/members, referrals, and self-sourcing. This position involves a mixture of cold calling and thoroughly working their sales pipeline via SMS, email, phone, and video conferencing.
Responsibilities
- High-volume outbound prospecting; making 100+ cold calls per day to potential clients.
- Qualifying leads based on profiles and packages available.
- Creating and maintaining a pipeline of prospective clients using Attio (CRM).
- Presenting and delivering information to potential clients.
- Answering potential client questions and follow-up call/email questions.
- Tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics.
- Building professional relationships with team members to support the department goals.
- Ensuring accuracy of prospective client information within internal systems.
- Closing new and renewal sales in accordance with defined sales quotas and metrics.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven experience in outbound inside sales as an individual contributor, with the ability to manage the full sales cycle from lead to close.
- A track record of success in achieving sales quotas and metrics consistently.
- Comfortable making high-volume cold calls and aggressively hunting new business through multi-channel outreach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers professionally.
- Persuasive and goal-oriented; a people person.
- Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor that conveys professionalism.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Works with a sense of urgency and responsiveness to assigned tasks.
- In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry.
- Technology knowledge for use of platforms, including Salesforce.com and Google suite.
- Resilient to handle challenges and objections, and continue on with a positive attitude with prospects, clients, and other Tawkify employees.
- Knowledge of what it means to own a book of business and self-directed to farm and cultivate a sales pipeline.
- Able to work independently and as an active, participating member of a team.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Chrome OS.
Benefits
- Base rate per hour equal to local minimum wage (or minimum of $10.00/hr.) plus commissions and/or bonus.
- On-target earnings (OTE) are projected to be $60,000-$80,000 annually, but individual results will vary based on performance.
