About the role

An Independent Doctor of Optometry affiliated with Target Optical (Luxottica) seeks an Associate Optometrist. You will work within the practice of a Target Optical Subleasing Optometrist as an employee or contracted doctor.

Responsibilities

• Work within the practice of a Target Optical Subleasing Optometrist as an employee or contracted doctor.
• Negotiate terms of agreement, practice model, pay and hours directly with the Subleasing doctor.
• Care for patients with professional autonomy and full scope of practice based on professional discretion and agreement with the Subleasing Doctor.
• Offer flexible scheduling options including part-time commitments or adding work to an existing practice schedule.
• Operate from a fully furnished office equipped with a full suite of OD equipment.
• Have access to automated online appointment booking and patient recall systems.

Requirements

• Must be an Independent Doctor of Optometry.
• Must be affiliated with Target Optical (Luxottica).
• Must be able to negotiate terms of agreement, practice model, pay and hours directly with the Subleasing doctor.
• Must have professional autonomy and full scope of practice based on professional discretion and agreement with the Subleasing Doctor.
• Must be willing to work within a fully furnished office equipped with a full suite of OD equipment.
• Must be open to flexible scheduling options including part-time commitments or adding work to an existing practice schedule.
• Must be able to operate an independent practice under the guidance of a Subleasing doctor.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice optometry in the state where the practice is located.
• Experience in providing comprehensive optometric care.
• Ability to negotiate terms of agreement, practice model, pay and hours directly with the Subleasing doctor.
• Professional autonomy and full scope of practice based on professional discretion and agreement with the Subleasing Doctor.
• Willingness to work within a fully furnished office equipped with a full suite of OD equipment.
• Open to flexible scheduling options including part-time commitments or adding work to an existing practice schedule.
• Experience operating an independent practice under the guidance of a Subleasing doctor.

• Strong clinical skills in optometry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a busy practice.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) software.
• Flexibility in scheduling and managing time.
