RN On Call - Operating Room (Exempt) → Registered Nurse - On Call - Operating Room

The registered nurse on call provides after-hours support across departments, primarily in the Operating Room Complex, utilizing clinical expertise to assess situations, coordinate care, and ensure safe, effective patient outcomes. This full-time, exempt position involves a unique schedule of 7 days on (with 24-hour shifts and on-call duties) followed by 7 days off, requiring a 30-minute response time for on-call notifications. The role demands independence, strong communication, and multitasking skills, with physical ability to perform essential nursing functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage urgent cases requiring after-hours clinical support
• Assess situations and coordinate care to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes
• Adhere to established policies, protocols, and clinical guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of relevant RN experience
• Current Missouri RN licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Familiarity with electronic health records
