RN - Observation Unit - Days

Position: Registered Nurse - Observation Unit Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Hours: 7am-7pm, with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays Responsibilities: The Staff Nurse provides safe, compassionate care by planning, implementing, and evaluating patient plans. Collaborates with healthcare team members to ensure optimal outcomes and care continuity. Qualifications & Skills Associate Degree in Nursing or higher; Bachelor’s Degree required within five years if Associate Degree is heldCurrent Illinois RN licensureCPR certification (American Heart Association)Knowledge of EKG interpretationNIHSS Stroke Scale certification (required) Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or higherSurgical care experience (ortho, gen-surg)ACLS certificationAt least 1 year inpatient nursing experience Key Duties: Deliver patient-centered nursing care, collaborate with clinical staff, and ensure high-quality outcomes in a dynamic healthcare setting.
