RN - Observation Unit - Days

Position: Registered Nurse - Observation Unit Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Hours: Full-time, 36 hours/week, 7am-7pm, with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays Responsibilities: The Staff Nurse provides safe, compassionate care by planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. They collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. Qualifications: An Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, current Illinois RN licensure, and CPR certification required. Knowledge of EKG interpretation and NIHSS Stroke Scale certification are mandatory. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree, surgical care experience, ACLS certification, and inpatient nursing experience. Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, teamwork, and communication skills. Ability to interpret EKGs and perform stroke assessment scales.
