Registered Nurse - Observation Unit - Days

Position: Registered Nurse - Observation Unit Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Part-Time: 24 hours/week Hours: 7am-7pm, with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays Responsibilities: The Staff Nurse provides safe, compassionate care across patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans. They collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. Qualifications: Requires an Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, current Illinois RN licensure, and CPR certification. Knowledge of EKG interpretation and NIHSS Stroke Scale certification are essential. Experience with inpatient care, surgical care (ortho and gen-surg), and ACLS are preferred. Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care skills. Preferred candidates have a bachelor’s degree or higher, and at least one year of inpatient nursing experience.
