Purpose of Position
Delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Administers and monitors patient responses to all medications. Directs and guides patient care, teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing within the realm of Hospital Policy. Maintains and delivers the highest quality customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support Certification required and must maintain certification.
- Successful passage of CCH’s Pharmacology exam.
- Successful passage of Basic Arrhythmia Program and challenge exam.
- Demonstrated skills in IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring by end of novice program.
- ACLS Certification required by end of novice program and must maintain certification.
- Must read, write and communicate in English.
- Completion of an approved de-escalation Certification Course required by end of transition program (course offered within).
- TNCC, ENPC and PALS certifications preferred.
- Recent clinical experience (within last 2 years) as an Emergency Center Technician, EMT, LPN, RN or nurses’ aide is required.
Description
Properly utilizes the nursing process in caring for patients by maintaining relevant, accurate and current patient records as evidenced by Nursing PI activities. Provides documentation of assessment of the patient throughout the Hospital admission including physical, psychological, social dimensions and discharge plans. Summarizes assessment data and initiates plan of care with communication of pertinent data to allied patient care providers as evidenced by Nursing PI activities.

30 Hours Per Week, 9p-7:30a, Rotating Nights, Every Other Weekend and Holiday
