About the role
Flight Nurse responsible for safely transporting patients via air ambulance and scene call work, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assess critical care situations to determine appropriate interventions and support for adult and pediatric patients.
- Manage critically ill or injured patients, supporting physician orders with critical thinking skills.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, performing regular equipment and safety checks.
- Communicate professionally with air and ground teams, dispatch, and partners to coordinate patient care and transport.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with safety standards and protocols.
- Maintain necessary certifications and participate in ongoing training.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as an RN.
- Current RN license and required certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, EMT, Trauma).
- Certification as a Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) within 24 months.
Skills
- Preferred: prior flight experience and instructor certifications in relevant advanced life support courses.
