About the role
We are seeking a qualified Flight Nurse to join our air transportation team, responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities and scene call work. The role emphasizes high safety standards, patient assessment, and critical care management for adult and pediatric patients, supporting physicians’ orders. You will provide safe, effective patient care in a well-maintained aircraft environment, collaborate with air and ground teams, dispatch, and partners through professional communication, maintain accurate documentation, and comply with safety protocols. Staying current with required certifications and ongoing training is essential.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients to and from medical facilities and scene call work.
- Perform patient assessment and critical care management for adult and pediatric patients.
- Support physicians’ orders during transport.
- Provide safe, effective patient care in a well-maintained aircraft environment.
- Collaborate with air and ground teams, dispatch, and partners through professional communication.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Comply with all safety protocols.
- Stay current with required certifications and ongoing training.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years' experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as a licensed RN.
- Current RN license in relevant states.
- EMT and Trauma certifications as required.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications prior to flight duties.
- CFRN certification within 24 months of hire.
Preferred Skills
- Prior flight experience.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
