RN - Charge Nurse - MICU Stepdown - Night Shift

About the Role

Work in the MICU Stepdown Unit on a full-time night shift from 7pm to 7am. Provide leadership by coordinating staffing, assigning patient care, and supervising nursing and support staff during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop care assignments.
• Ensure quality, population-specific care delivery.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and address care issues.
• Respond to patient or family complaints.
• Contribute to staff hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS may be required within 6 months.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Schedule
