About the Role
Responsible for coordinating staffing and providing leadership in the MICU Stepdown Unit to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during night shifts
- Contribute to staff performance evaluations
- Assess patient care needs and develop appropriate care assignments
- Evaluate care effectiveness and address issues impacting patient outcomes
- Respond to patient care complaints through established channels
- Assist in hiring, training, and staff development
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Certifications
- BLS certification required within 30 days
- ACLS and PALS may be required within 6 months depending on unit
