RN - Charge Nurse - MICU Stepdown - Night Shift

About the Role

Responsible for coordinating staffing and providing leadership in the MICU Stepdown Unit to ensure high-quality patient care and clinical objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during night shifts.
• Assess patient care needs and develop appropriate care assignments.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and address issues impacting patient outcomes.
• Respond to patient care complaints and manage through established channels.
• Contribute to hiring, training, and evaluating staff.

Requirements

• Current RN license issued by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS may be required within 6 months.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
