RN - Charge Nurse - MICU Stepdown - Night Shift

Position Overview Department: MICU Stepdown UnitSchedule: Full-time Night shift - 7pm-7amWork Location: UAB St. Vincent's East - Trussville, AL Job Description Responsibilities include: Coordinating unit staffing and providing leadership to ensure quality patient care. Assigning, directing, educating, and monitoring nursing and support staff during shifts. Assessing daily patient care needs, developing care assignments, and ensuring appropriate care delivery. Evaluating patient outcomes and addressing issues impacting care quality. Handling patient care complaints and managing through established channels. Contributing to staff hiring, training, development, and evaluations. Qualifications Licensure/Certifications: BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.ACLS and PALS may be required in specific units within 6 months.Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing. Education & Experience Diploma from an accredited nursing program and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
