About the Role
The Clinical Assistant Manager advocates for safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care by assisting with personnel management, budget oversight, strategic planning, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Clinical Manager to develop quality improvement initiatives and enhance patient outcomes.
- Provide staff feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and support professional development.
- Participate in leadership meetings, promote staff participation in activities, and ensure competency standards are met.
- Assist in staffing, resource allocation, and implementing patient care models that optimize productivity and respect diversity.
- Maintain a safe environment, advocate for patients and families, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Support performance improvement activities, analyze data, and communicate outcomes to staff and physicians.
- Manage unit operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and facilitate smooth patient throughput.
- Identify resource needs, manage costs, and balance quality with cost-effectiveness.
- Engage in professional development, participate in leadership programs, and promote community outreach.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience; leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, performance improvement, and accreditation standards.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Current RN licensure; specialty certification within 6 months of eligibility; BLS certification required.
