About the Role
The Clinical Assistant Manager advocates for safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care by supporting resource allocation, staff management, and regulatory compliance. This leadership position involves assisting with personnel management, performance evaluations, and fostering professional development. Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide staff feedback, counseling, performance evaluations, and support their professional growth.
- Participate in leadership meetings, promote staff participation, and ensure competency standards.
- Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource utilization to meet unit needs.
- Ensure safe, therapeutic environments and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
- Support compliance with regulatory standards and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and evaluating staff performance.
- Collaborate on patient care models balancing quality, cost, and resource use.
- Maintain high visibility on the unit and foster positive communication among staff and physicians.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience; leadership experience preferred.
- Current RN licensure and BLS certification required; specialty certification within 6 months of eligibility.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare systems, and organizational strategies.
- Proficiency in performance improvement, regulatory standards, and financial processes.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
