About the Role
The Clinical Assistant Manager advocates for efficient, safe, and compassionate nursing care, assisting with personnel management, budgeting, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance. They collaborate with the Clinical Manager to develop quality improvement initiatives, ensure staff competency, and foster a professional environment that encourages participation and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Support administrative and operational functions, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and care delivery models.
- Participate in hiring, orientation, and performance evaluations.
- Promote patient safety, satisfaction, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Lead performance improvement activities and ensure regulatory standards are met.
- Maintain visibility on the unit and address patient or visitor issues promptly.
- Assist in developing and implementing care models.
- Ensure staffing meets unit needs.
- Foster professional development.
- Collaborate across disciplines.
- Support quality and safety initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing School (BSN preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience.
- At least 1 year in a leadership role preferred.
- Current RN licensure and BLS certification.
- Specialty certification within 6 months of hire.
Skills
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, performance improvement, and accreditation standards.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
