About the role
Seeking a Respiratory Therapist with advanced clinical and operational leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert respiratory care and serve as a shift leader.
- Oversee staffing using EMR reports.
- Mentor staff, ensure technical competency, and assist with orientation for new hires and students.
- Maintain safety by documenting events, researching evidence-based practices, and escalating issues when necessary.
- Ensure proper hand-offs and adherence to safety protocols to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Three years of RT experience, including one year in critical care.
- Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and RRT credential; BLS and other certifications required.
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy practices, patient rights, safety standards, and critical care procedures.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.
- Ability to interpret patient data and provide population-specific care.
- Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to guide clinical staff.
This role does not involve management responsibilities but reports to a supervisor or manager.
