About the role

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist with advanced clinical and operational leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care and serve as a shift leader.
• Oversee staffing using EMR reports.
• Mentor staff, ensure technical competency, and assist with orientation for new hires and students.
• Maintain safety by documenting events, researching evidence-based practices, and escalating issues when necessary.
• Ensure proper hand-offs and adherence to safety protocols to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Three years of RT experience, including one year in critical care.
• Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and RRT credential; BLS and other certifications required.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy practices, patient rights, safety standards, and critical care procedures.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.
• Ability to interpret patient data and provide population-specific care.
• Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to guide clinical staff.

This role does not involve management responsibilities but reports to a supervisor or manager.
