About the Role

This position provides clinical and operational leadership as a Respiratory Therapist, acting as a shift leader and resource for staff in a hospital setting. The role emphasizes compassionate, high-quality care, clinical excellence, and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert respiratory care to patients.
• Mentor staff in advanced respiratory therapy skills.
• Plan and coordinate shift workflows.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels using electronic reports.
• Maintain patient safety by reporting incidents and participating in performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper handoffs between shifts.
• Assist with staff orientation and technical competency evaluations.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC registration and state licensure.
• Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience, including critical care.
• Proficiency in respiratory therapies, equipment, and patient care protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as BLS, PALS, ACLS, and specialty credentials.

Schedule

Day shift hours in a hospital setting.
