Respiratory Care Shift Coordinator FT Days

About the role

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist role with clinical and operational leadership responsibilities.

Key Duties

• Provide expert respiratory care, mentor staff, and apply advanced technical skills.
• Lead shift planning, staffing, and workflow management using EMR reports.
• Ensure patient safety through proper hand-offs, safety event documentation, and escalation of issues.
• Assist with staff orientation, technical competency, and compliance with safety protocols.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain advanced technology documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, including 1 year in critical care.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and registered (RRT).
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS, AARC membership; additional specialty certifications preferred.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy practices, patient care, and regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in critical care techniques, equipment, and data interpretation.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and ensure compliance with policies and protocols.

This is a non-management role reporting to supervisors, with responsibilities including staff support, safety, and clinical excellence.
