Role Overview

Serves as a clinical and operational leader, providing expert respiratory care, mentoring staff, and managing shift workflows. Acts as a super user for advanced technology and contributes to Performance Improvement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs duties of a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Manages staffing using EMR reports
• Ensures patient safety through proper handoffs and incident reporting
• Assists with staff orientation and technical competency

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Three years of RT experience
• One year in critical care
• Valid licensure and certifications (RRT, BLS, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy practices, regulatory standards, patient assessment, and critical care proficiency
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential

Additional Details

This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor, with work primarily during daytime hours, based at a hospital facility. Certifications such as NRP, PALS, ACLS, and specialty credentials are preferred or required.
