About the role

This role provides clinical and operational leadership as a Respiratory Therapist, serving as a role model and resource for the team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert patient care in respiratory therapy.
• Mentor staff in advanced technical skills and best practices.
• Manage shift workflow and staffing using EMR reports.
• Ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation for advanced technology and procedures.
• Perform duties aligned with clinical excellence and patient advocacy.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC registration (RRT credential).
• Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of respiratory care practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in patient safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Critical care expertise and advanced clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) preferred.
• Specialty credentials (e.g., neonatal/pediatric, adult critical care) preferred.

Reports to a supervisor or designated clinical leadership.
