Residential Aide (Baxter Safe Haven)

Program Description

The Baxter Safe Haven is a transitional housing residence for homeless adults, many with mental illness. Goddard Riverside Community Center supports vulnerable New Yorkers through essential human needs, advocating for community interests and providing a range of services.

Purpose of Position

• Aid tenants in developing daily independent living skills, such as laundry, personal hygiene, and meal preparation
• Maintain attendance records and monitor tenant status
• Receive and manage meal deliveries in the kitchen
• Conduct client intakes and provide facility orientation upon check-in
• Document intakes, bed swaps, attendance, and incident reports using CARES

Schedule

Tuesday-Saturday: 11pm-7am
Sunday-Thursday: 7am-3pm

Salary Range

$31,154-$38,955

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the required qualifications to be considered for the position. Salary offers will be based on years of experience in the exact or comparable position, with additional preferred qualifications also taken into account.
