Residential Aide

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.
• Conducts regular "rounds" throughout the entire property.
• Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed.
• Affords assistance with new intakes, completes room searches, monitors mealtimes, etc.
• Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.
• Maintains supervision of supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled.
• Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors.
• Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues.
• Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.
• Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled.
• Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
• Affords ability to deescalate.
• Affords ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to observe, identify, document & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.
• Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.
• Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
• Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.

Pay

$17.00/hr.
