About the role

The Resident Chef at Sur La Table is responsible for providing exceptional culinary experiences to customers through hands-on cooking demonstrations and engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cooking demonstrations and workshops, ensuring safety and adherence to food handling guidelines.
  • Engage with customers, offering personalized recommendations and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Prepare and maintain a clean and organized demonstration kitchen.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Valid Food Handlers Card.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in multiple cuisines.
  • Experience with food styling and photography.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety protocols.
