About the role

The Resident Chef at Sur La Table is responsible for creating and executing daily menu offerings that align with the brand’s culinary standards and customer expectations. This role requires a deep understanding of food preparation techniques and a passion for sharing culinary knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute daily menu offerings that meet customer satisfaction and brand standards.
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
  • Train and mentor other kitchen staff on food safety and cooking techniques.
  • Contribute to the development of new recipes and menu items.
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional chef experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen setting.
  • Valid Food Handlers Certification.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

  • Proficiency in multiple cooking techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Saturday, with some Sunday availability.
