About the role

The Resident Chef at Sur La Table is responsible for providing culinary demonstrations, assisting customers with recipe selection, and maintaining a clean and inviting store environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts cooking demonstrations and workshops to engage customers in the culinary process.
  • Assists customers in selecting recipes and ingredients that align with their dietary preferences and goals.
  • Maintains a clean and organized store space, ensuring all products are displayed attractively and safely.
  • Collaborates with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experience.
  • Experience with customer service and public speaking.
  • Valid Food Handlers Certification.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of local food trends and seasonal ingredients.

Skills

  • Proficient in multiple cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Pay
