About the role

The Resident Chef at Sur La Table is responsible for providing exceptional culinary experiences to customers through hands-on cooking demonstrations and engaging with guests in the store.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cooking demonstrations that showcase a variety of cuisines and techniques
  • Engage with customers to provide personalized recommendations and answer questions about products
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experience
  • Experience leading cooking classes or demonstrations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings

Qualifications

  • Valid Food Handlers Card
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety practices

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working with diverse groups of people

Pay
