About the role
The Resident Chef at Sur La Table is responsible for providing exceptional culinary experiences to customers through hands-on cooking demonstrations and engaging with guests in the store.
Responsibilities
- Lead cooking demonstrations that showcase a variety of cuisines and techniques
- Engage with customers to provide personalized recommendations and answer questions about products
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experience
- Experience leading cooking classes or demonstrations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
Qualifications
- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Knowledge of kitchen safety practices
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working with diverse groups of people
