About the role
The Resident Chef at Sur La Table is an interim position designed to support our Pike & Rose store during a transition period. This role requires a strong culinary background and a passion for sharing food experiences with customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes to customers
- Engage with customers to provide recommendations and enhance their dining experience
- Support the store manager in planning and executing special events and promotions
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experience
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Proficiency in multiple cuisines
- Excellent knife skills and knowledge of cooking techniques
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively

Pay
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience
