About the role
The Resident Chef at Sur La Table is responsible for providing culinary demonstrations, assisting customers in selecting products, and maintaining a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on cooking classes and demonstrations
- Assist customers in finding and recommending products
- Maintain a clean and organized demonstration kitchen
- Engage with customers to provide personalized service
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of professional chef experience
- Experience leading cooking classes and demonstrations
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Qualifications
- Valid Food Handler Certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
