About the role

The Resident Chef at Sur La Table is responsible for providing culinary demonstrations, assisting customers in selecting products, and maintaining a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hands-on cooking classes and demonstrations
  • Assist customers in finding and recommending products
  • Maintain a clean and organized demonstration kitchen
  • Engage with customers to provide personalized service

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional chef experience
  • Experience leading cooking classes and demonstrations
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Qualifications

  • Valid Food Handler Certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings

Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
