Reservations Agent

About the role

The Reservations Agent is responsible for handling all incoming reservation inquiries with professionalism, efficiency, and warmth. Collaborating across departments, you ensure the accuracy of information to provide a seamless experience and exceptional hospitality. Your role is critical in supporting front-of-house operations, sales, and event planning efforts—ultimately enhancing guest satisfaction and encouraging repeat business.

Responsibilities

• Manage group information and room inventory throughout the convention services process, starting at file turnover.
• Ensure accuracy when loading rooming lists and processing any changes to group reservations.
• Aid in group detailing, including billing, to ensure the guest and client planner arrival experience is seamless.
• Prepare and submit group rooms recap reports, including the tracking/posting of group comps, and group audits.
• Communicate and maintain attention to detail within the department and may have other additional duties assigned by your manager.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook
• Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Time-management skills
• Strong customer service and interface skills
• Hotel/ resort experience preferred
• Prior hotel front desk/ reservations experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
