Responsibilities
- Defend and manage employment-related disputes from inception through resolution.
- Handle administrative charges before agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, and state fair employment practices agencies.
- Manage employment litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, overseeing discovery, developing case strategy, and working with clients throughout the litigation process.
- Counsel clients on a broad range of employment law issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour compliance, leave and accommodation matters, restrictive covenants, and employee discipline.
- Conduct legal research and provide practical guidance on evolving federal, state, and local employment laws.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of labor and employment experience, ideally with a law firm, employment boutique, or sophisticated employment practice.
- Experience managing administrative charges and employment litigation matters.
- Strong employment counseling background, including policy review and compliance guidance.
- Excellent writing, advocacy, and client-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage matters while working in a remote environment.
