Registered Nurse - Transport

Role Overview

The registered nurse practices independently within a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex patient care. They demonstrate awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations, make appropriate assignments, and delegate tasks to care providers to manage clinical scenarios effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients.
• Address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and efficacy.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE.
• Participation in orientation and competency validation is mandatory.

Additional Details

• Experience in acute care settings and RN residency are preferred.
• New hires must complete onboarding and annual competency requirements.
• Work schedule involves 12-hour shifts on a full-time basis.
