Registered Nurse - Transport
About the role
The Registered Nurse position at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is part of the Transport Team. This team provides a full spectrum of health care to patients being moved by fixed wing or ground transport within the Kapi‘olani network. The ideal candidate should be a compassionate, sensitive caregiver with a strong interest in working in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing services through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of patient care.
- Function as an associate to a charge nurse, and eventually assume charge nurse responsibilities.
Requirements
- Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) CPR cards.
- Three (3) years pediatric clinical experience including one (1) year in neonatal or pediatric intensive care and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- Transport experience preferred.
Skills
Compassion, sensitivity, teamwork, and ability to handle a variety of patient needs, including ventilation and respiratory care.

Pay Range: 70.89 - 70.89 USD per hour
