Registered Nurse Transport

Location: Austin, TX | Facility: Dell Children's Medical Center | Department/Specialty: Transport | Schedule: Nights, Rotating | Full-time

About the role

Provide critical care on the move: Assess, stabilize, and treat patients using advanced interventions across ground, helicopter, and fixed-wing transports. Be the ultimate team player: Partner closely with medical crews to ensure seamless, safe patient hand-offs while keeping anxious families informed and reassured. Prioritize safety and readiness: Keep clinical documentation accurate and specialized transport gear mission-ready to protect both your patients and your team.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following certifications required (obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date):
  • Advanced Life Support (allow in lieu of Basic Life Support; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
  • BLS Provider (allow in lieu of Advanced Life Support; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (allow in lieu of Pediatric Advanced Life Support; American Academy of Pediatrics)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (allow in lieu of Neonatal Resuscitation; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
• 3 years minimum (no less than 4000 hours) ED or ICU experience; required for CAMTS accreditation.
