About the Role
This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, focusing on conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.
Responsibilities
- Perform EKG interpretation and central line care
- Manage rescue BiPAP, high flow oxygen, trachs, and vents
- Assist with bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies
- Apply critical thinking, delegate tasks, and manage time effectively
- Collaborate with patient care nursing assistants, nurse interns, providers, physical and occupational therapists
Unit Details
- 14 beds in a technologically equipped environment
- Utilizes advanced monitoring and communication tools
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program and licensure as a Registered Nurse in Ohio
- Current BLS certification; ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
- PRN requires one year of relevant RN experience and all certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree
- Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation
