About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West). This unit features 14 beds equipped with advanced technology, including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population with conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.
- Interpret EKGs and care for central lines.
- Administer rescue Bi-Pap, high-flow oxygen, and manage trach/vents.
- Assist with bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
- Apply critical thinking, delegation, and efficient time management.
- Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, Providers, Physical and Occupational Therapists.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Ohio RN licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- For PRN roles: at least 1 year of RN experience and all certifications upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
