Registered Nurse - Surgical Unit

About the role

This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit focused on conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis.

Responsibilities

• Utilize skills like EKG interpretation, central line care, and managing ventilators (Bi-Pap, high flow oxygen, trachs, vents).
• Assist with bedside procedures such as endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
• Apply critical thinking, delegation, and time management to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, providers, PT, and OT.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or one seeking accreditation.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• BLS certification (or within 90 days of hire) and ACLS certification (or within 6 months).
• PRN candidates require at least 1 year of relevant RN experience and all certifications upon hire.

Qualifications

• Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program.
