About the Role
This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population, including those with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.
Responsibilities
- Utilize skills such as EKG interpretation, central line care, and managing rescue Bi-Pap, high flow oxygen, and trach/vents.
- Assist with bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
- Apply critical thinking, delegate tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, and OT.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Ohio.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
- PRN roles require at least 1 year of relevant RN experience and all certifications upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
Work Environment
The role involves working in a 14-bed unit with advanced technology and rotating shifts.
