Registered Nurse - Surgical Unit

About the role

Provide high-quality nursing care in a 14-bed Critical Care Step Down Unit, focusing on patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), and sepsis. The unit is equipped with advanced technology including telemetry monitoring and assistive devices.

Responsibilities

• Interpret EKGs and provide central line care
• Manage bedside procedures such as endoscopies and bronchoscopies
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Interns, Providers, Physical Therapy (PT), and Occupational Therapy (OT) to deliver comprehensive care
• Apply critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current Ohio RN licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Professional certifications recognized by the Magnet designation
