Registered Nurse - Surgical Unit

About the Role

Providing specialized nursing care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, focusing on patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.

Responsibilities

• Administering and interpreting EKGs
• Caring for central lines
• Managing rescue Bi-PAP, high-flow oxygen, trachs, and vents
• Assisting with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies)
• Utilizing critical thinking, delegation, and time management skills
• Collaborating with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, providers, physical therapists, and occupational therapists

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current RN licensure in Ohio
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
• PRN roles require 1 year of relevant RN experience and all certifications at hire

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation
