Registered Nurse - Surgical Unit

About the Role

This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, focusing on patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. The nurse collaborates with care teams, including PCNAs, interns, and providers, to deliver comprehensive patient care in a technology-enhanced environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret EKGs
• Manage central lines
• Assist with bedside procedures (e.g., endoscopies, bronchoscopies)
• Support respiratory therapies, including Bi-Pap, high-flow oxygen, and ventilators
• Apply critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license in Ohio
• BLS certification (must obtain within 90 days if not already held)
• ACLS certification (must obtain within 6 months if not already held)

Qualifications

• PRN applicants require at least one year of relevant RN experience and must hold all certifications at time of hire
• Preferred: BSN and professional certifications recognized by the Magnet designation
