Registered Nurse - Special Care Nursery - Night Shift

Role Overview Provides professional nursing care in a Level 2E Special Care Nursery, following state regulations and hospital policies. Utilizes critical thinking to assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, document observations, and delegate tasks appropriately. Works as part of a team to achieve unit goals, adapting duties as needed based on shift and unit requirements. Qualifications & Skills Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; if only an Associate Degree, must obtain a Bachelor’s Degree within five years of employment.Current Illinois RN licensure and BLS certification through the American Heart Association.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of employment.Preferably, two years of NICU RN Level 3 experience. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to neonatal patients.Recognize patient condition changes and respond appropriately.Delegate care tasks and collaborate with team members to meet patient needs.
