Registered Nurse - Special Care Nursery - Night Shift

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides safe, compassionate nursing care across patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans. They collaborate with healthcare team members, including nurses and physicians, to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care and coordinate with clinical staff
• Adhere to standards for neonatal and general nursing practices
• Participate in patient assessments, treatments, and education
• Ensure quality and safety standards are met
• Provide care during night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays in a Level 2E Special Care Nursery
• Maintain professional development and participate in organizational initiatives

Requirements

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing must be obtained within five years if only an Associate Degree is held at hire)
• Current Illinois RN licensure
• BLS certification
• NRP certification within six months of hire

Qualifications

• Preferred: At least 2 years of NICU Level 3 RN experience
