Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Surgical

About the Role

Provide high-quality, patient-centered care for a diverse patient population in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, including patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.

Responsibilities

• Utilize skills such as EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures (e.g., endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management.
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, providers, Physical Therapy (PT), and Occupational Therapy (OT) to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide care in a 14-bed unit with advanced technology support, including telemetry monitoring and bedside procedures.
• Contribute to a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• BLS certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• ACLS certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• For PRN roles: at least 1 year of relevant RN experience and all certifications upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.

Schedule

• Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
