Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Surgical

About the role

Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, focusing on conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and assist with bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
• Utilize advanced technology including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring.
• Apply critical thinking, delegation, and time management skills to deliver effective nursing care.
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, providers, and therapy staff.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• PRN roles require at least one year of relevant RN experience and all certifications upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree.
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
