About the role
Join our Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, as a Registered Nurse in a fast-paced, technology-equipped environment. The unit features 24 beds and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care for individuals with conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.
- Utilize skills in EKG interpretation, central line care, bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
- Manage respiratory support like Bi-Pap and vents.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, delegate tasks, and efficiently manage time to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with PCNAs, Interns, providers, PT, and OT staff.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- RN licensure in Ohio.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification within 6 months.
- BSN preferred.
