Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Surgical

About the role

Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, focusing on conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.

Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, providers, and rehabilitation staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes through critical thinking, delegation, time management, and the use of advanced technology such as telemetry monitoring and virtual communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Interpret EKGs and provide central line care
• Administer rescue BiPAP and high flow oxygen
• Manage trach/vent care
• Assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current RN licensure in Ohio
• BLS and ACLS certifications (obtained within specified timeframes)
• At least one year of relevant RN experience for PRN roles

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
• Professional certifications recognized by the Magnet designation
