Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Surgical

About the Role

Provide patient-centered care to a diverse population in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) for conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), and sepsis.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced technology and clinical skills, including EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures (e.g., endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Manage oxygen therapy and ventilators.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including PCNAs, interns, and providers.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management to deliver high-quality care across a 14-bed unit.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• BLS certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• ACLS certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• For PRN roles: At least one year of RN experience and required certifications upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.

Skills and Attributes

• Strong clinical skills, including EKG interpretation and management of complex procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
